How to Become a Basketball Official
Colorado certifies high school basketball officials through the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials (IAABO). In order to officiate, you will need to take and pass the IAABO certification exam. Below you will see the information and website to get started. The link to register for the online course can be found here:
https://www.coloradoboard4iaabo.com/registration-for-new-officials
Once you have registered and paid for the course, we will provide you with the next steps in the process. The course registration fee includes a rules book, access to the online course which will assist you in passing the online exam and covers your membership dues for that season.
